Vesicoureteral reflux grades (International Reflux Study)
Nephrology and urology
Also known as: Refluxgrade (vesikoureteraler Reflux, international I–V) · Vezikoüreteral reflü dereceleri · International grading of vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) grades I–V
What it is for
Grades vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) seen on voiding cystourethrography (VCUG/MCUG) by how far contrast refluxes and how much the ureter and pelvicalyceal system dilate; the highest grade seen is reported.
Classification
| Category | Description |
|---|---|

| Grade IV | moderate dilatation and/or tortuosity of the ureter and moderate dilatation of pelvis and calyces; fornices completely blunted but papillary impressions kept in most calyces. |
