D'Amico risk classification
Nephrology and urology
Also known as: D'Amico-Risikogruppen (Prostatakarzinom) · D'Amico risk grupları · D'Amico risk groups for localised prostate cancer
What it is for
Three risk groups for clinically localised prostate cancer from prostate-specific antigen (PSA), biopsy Gleason score and clinical T stage. Low risk needs all three criteria; one criterion is enough for the intermediate or the high group (the highest applicable group is used).
Classification
| Category | Description |
|---|---|
| Low risk | PSA ≤10 ng/ml and Gleason score ≤6 and clinical stage T1c–T2a. |
| Intermediate risk | PSA >10 to ≤20 ng/ml, or Gleason score 7, or clinical stage T2b. |
| High risk | PSA >20 ng/ml, or Gleason score ≥8, or clinical stage T2c. |
